Today we were able to see parts of Mumbai that I’ve anxiously been waiting to see! Our next door neighbor drove us around “downtown” Bombay, and I’m happy to say that we had a great time! Our first stop was the zoo, which consisted of mostly birds and deer. But we were thrilled to see our first elephants in India (too bad it wasn’t in the jungles!). It was a pretty slim display, and I guarantee we were stared at more than the animals… but we had fun. And admittance was only 7 rupees… about a dime!

Next stop was lunch… McDonalds. And guess what?! I did it! I ate a McChicken sandwich and felt disgusting. But I ate it! Everyone was pumped to eat there so I kept quiet and just didn’t think about what I was digesting (like most things I eat here).  BUT I had a chocolate milkshake and that was amazing! Plus there was air conditioning…yes!
lovin the milkshake!

From there we saw the Victorian Terminal Station, the train station on Slumdog Millionaire, the capitol building (or something like that), the gateway of India, the Taj Hotel, and Marine Drive- the “richest” part of Bombay which consisted of a bunch of apartment buildings across the street from a bay, a great view!
